- Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sent a letter today (October 29th) to the President-elect of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, congratulating him on his first round victory over current President Mauricio Macri. In the letter, Lula wished Fernández and his Vice President-elect Cristina Kirchner good luck and thanked both for the solidarity they showed to him through their public expressions of support for his freedom. - The Superior Justice Court met a request by former President Lula to suspend a ruling marked for this Wednesday, October 30th, in the 4th Federal Regional Court (TRF-4), related to the absurd case of the Atibaia vacation property. According to Lula’s lawyers, the 8th working group of the TRF-4 should analyze Lula’s appeal in accordance with the order that cases arrive in the court, without moving his case forward in line.
