- This Thursday, November 7th, former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will be visited by Lula Institute President Paulo Okamotto and João Paulo Rodrigues, from the national leadership of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais sem Terra/MST). During the meeting they will speak about strategies for the Lula Livre campaign and how to face the anti-democratic advances by the right wing Jair Bolsonaro government. After the visit, which will take place at 4 PM, Okamotto and Rodrigues will hold a press conference near the exit of the Curitiba federal police headquarters. - The “good morning, President Lula,” shout on this Wednesday, November 6th, was led by the PT bloc from the Paraná State Congress. Lawmakers Arilson Chiorato, Luciana Rafagnin, Tadeu Veneri and Professor Lemos joined the activists to send their greetings and love to the greatest popular leader in Brazil during the traditional morning shout. - The fight for freedom for Lula, who has been held as a political prisoner since April, 2018, is connected to the maintenance of the Lula Livre Vigil. For this reason, it is important that all of the activists help out so that the resistance center stays strong and continues its activities in defense of democracy, as part of the movement to restore the Brazilian people’s hope for better days. - Lula sent a message to the youth of Brazil during an interview with the French TV channel Brut. “If you are feeling hopeless, if you don’t believe in any politician, if you don’t believe in Lula, Haddad, Bolsonaro, Ciro, Boulos or Marina – don’t lose hope. The politician you dream about may not be any of us – who knows – it could be inside of you. So, instead of negating politics, take on the responsibility and assume that Brazil is yours,” he said. - In an interview made on this Wednesday, November 6th, to the Blog da Cidadania, Lula complained of a new arbitrary action by the federal police, who are controlled by the ex-judge Sérgio Moro. Federal police agents invaded his prison cell at 6 AM on Tuesday, November 5th, to summon him to testify in an operation which aimed to arrest former President Dilma Rousseff.
