1. The Brazilian Left Collective in China, composed of around 90 people spread across the country, officially inaugurated the Lula Livre Committee in China on this Sunday, October 6th. In the letter of intent, which was released today, the group explains that, “the goal is to involve the greatest number of Chinese people possible in the debate, so that consciousness can be raised about the political process which led to the imprisonment of the greatest leader of the Brazilian left, who was responsible for an enormous reduction in inequality and an expansion of bilateral relations with China.” For the inauguration, the collective prepared a special event with a showing of the documentary, “the Edge of Democracy”. 2. After all, is today, October 6th, Lula’s birthday or not? Not everyone knows, but Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has two birthdays. He was born on October 27th, 1945. but his family only registered his birth years later, on October 6th, when he traveled to São Paulo with his mom. Regardless, Dona Lindu kept the tradition of always celebrating her son’s birthday on the 27th. Read more here:

3. The “good morning, President Lula,” shout on this Sunday, October 6th, was joined in by the popular Curitiba artist João Bello, who was excited about starting his day off in the Lula Livre Vigil and sang a song in honor of the former President. During the afternoon, the schedule at the Vigil included a conversation circle with the actress, director and professor from Bahia Federal University, Meran Vargem.
