- PT Congressional leader Paulo Pimenta (Rio Grande do Sul) delivered a report to European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium on this Tuesday, June 18th, which denounces the participation of the United States in the Lava Jato investigation, in a scheme which violates the Brazilian Constitution. The investigation was conducted without the knowledge of the Ministry of Justice, which is responsible for monitoring judicial cooperation between Brazil and other countries. The report also denounces the practice of Lawfare – the use of legal instruments with partisan political goals – against former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Read more here:

- Activists from collectives from several countries continue to denounce the political imprisonment of Lula by holding demonstrations of support for the former President. On this Tuesday, June 18th, the Parisian Committee for Solidarity with Lula welcomed Brazilian journalist Breno Altman, who spoke of the new challenges in the case which led to political imprisonment for the ex-President. - On Monday, June 17th, protests took place in defense of Lula during a concert by Milton Nascimento in London. To shouts of “Free Lula” the audience, which packed the hall for the legendary Brazilian singer’s show in the British capital showed that there, or any other place in the world, Lula is never alone.
