- Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sent a message through the social media today, via his support team, in which he criticized the midiatic posture of the Lava Jato task force during the operation which resulted in the imprisonment of former President Michel Temer on Thursday, March 21. “Lava Jato is trying to take attention away from the loss of credibility that has happened due to the R$2.5 billion fund that they are negotiating for with the USA. The task force does not need pyrotechnics to survive, it needs to be serious,” he said. - In addition to strengthening the permanent struggle for freedom for Lula and denouncing a judiciary which is acting in more and more questionable ways, the visit made by a group of Judges to the Vigil on Thursday, March 21st, resulted in another beautiful song written by Rui Portanova. In an lyrical and optimistic tone, the words suggest a future less tragic for the Brazilian people if justice is made for the ex-President. “Our people, in the city and the country, raising the flag of peace and freedom. Our people will, once again, sing the the refrain, Olê Olê Olá, Lula!,Lula.” Listen to the song here: https://youtu.be/EF3cVOgbbKY
- Even though she was far away, the retired judge Kenarik Boujikian, co-founder of the Association of Judges for Democracy (AJD), collaborated with her colleagues in the resistance against arbitrary legal actions in the country, by writing a letter to Lula. In the message, she expresses solidarity with ex-President Lula for the injustice which he has suffered from the Lava Jato investigation and says she regrets that she cannot hear his voice. “Your words have been blocked, even in the most painful moments. (…) There is nothing more symbolic than shutting up a President.”.
