- Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was visited by Nicole Briones, a member of his communications team, today on February 14. After the visit she told the activists at the Lula Livre Vigil about the subject of their conversation. According to Nicole, Lula especially requested that the people who follow the Vigil on the digital social media networks deepen the debate and show in detail the reasons that resulted in his conviction for a crime without proof. “Dialogue more, present arguments, explain the reasons that caused me to be a political prisoner and show how the real motive was to prevent me from being elected,” he said. His communications aid also gave the following message from Lula, “As long as they do not show any proof against him and explain to the people why he is in jail, he will not shut up.”
- Today, (February 14) Lula asked, on his social media networks, about the change in posture of the former judge turned politician Sérgio Moro, in relation to transparency of government agencies. “Moro, who committed a crime by leaking an illegally taped conversation of the President of the Republic, is now a Minister for Bolsonaro and says he needs privacy to not answer questions from Congress about the Justice Minister’s agenda with the Taurus gun company,” Lula said in a tweet. - Emerson Santos, a psychologist and activist from the PT party in the Baixada Santista region of São Paulo, wrote a letter about his experience spending two days at the Lula Livre Vigil. “The most gratifying thing is knowing that he hears us shouting and this makes us use our vocal potential to the maximum, full of anger and affection,” he said. Santos also spoke of the importance of this space of resistance to sustain the former President with the energy to continue the fight against the injustice committed against him. “I am sure that this feeds him, this keeps him alive, it give him the energy to continue fighting in his heart and mind, and keeps him believing in his people and his country.” Read more here: https://pt.org.br/impossivel-nao-se-emocionar-diz-psicologo-apos-visita-a-vigilia-de-curitiba/
