- “Strength, Lula, the fight has only just begun, strength, Lula, the fight has only just begun.” Good morning, President, I just arrived. I arrived and sang to keep you company. And the people arrived and more people arrived. Strength, Lula the fight has only just begun. ” It was with this song that the day began in the Vigil Lula Livre this Wednesday, December 9th, sung by activists from the Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina chapters of the CUT labor union and activists from the MST.
- “It is an honor for CUT to be here at this camp, the activities of which we closely follow,” said Rio de Janeiro CUT President Marcelo Rodrigues at the Vigil today. “We know that we are going back to times that will be worse than the dictatorship, but we will never lower our heads and it will not be now that they break the workers. We are ready for the fight”. Afterwards, the activists yelled good morning to former President Lula.
