Straight from Curitiba – 11/23/2018 – 231st Day of Resistance – 7:10 PM
1. In a public statement issued on this Friday, November 23rd, the Workers Party repudiated the actions started today by the 10th Federal District Court against former Presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, as well as ex-directors of the PT party, for not being built on any facts or evidence. According to the party, the action “is the result of a prosecution delirium by ex-Attorney General Rodrigo Janot, without any basis in law.” The party also denounced that “the true organizations that are acting outside of the law in this country are partisan sectors of the public prosecutors office and the judicial system, which have been persecuting the PT and its leaders.” Read the whole note here: http://www.pt.org.br/nota-do-pt-partido-enfrenta-perseguicao-judicial-fora-da-lei/

4. Today marks 231 days of action by the Lula Livre Vigil activists, in defense of democracy and freedom for the ex-President, who was arbitrarily condemned by Sérgio Moro. During the good afternoon shout to Lula, professor Eliane Bueno, who is also a state director of PT Paraná, thanked the Vigil activists for denouncing the persecution of the ex-President to Brazil and to the world, transforming him into the most well known political prisoner on the planet. On this Friday activists from São Paulo’s ABC region, Espirito Santo, Bahia and Paraná visited the Vigil.
5. This afternoon, Regina Poliana Pereira visited the Vigil. She came from Rio Grande so Norte, to participate in a psychology convention and took advantage of the opportunity to get closer to Lula. “I am from Parazinho, a town with less than 6000 inhabitants. I am the daughter of small farmers and am a licensed psychologist. The people there love Lula because he ended hunger and gave us opportunities,” she said.
