- “My efforts now are to undo the lies that are being told about me. It’s not even a case of proving my innocence because I am innocent.” Ex-President Lula’s declaration, made during his testimony on Wednesday, November 14, in the Paraná 13th Criminal Court in Curitiba, was an immediate response to one more affront made by the federal public prosecutors office and judge Sergio Moro to the legacy of a man who was barred from running in an election that he would have won in the first round, according to all polls. - Today was a day of watching to resist. During this morning, November 15th, the Lula Livre Vigil held a public showing of footage of the first part of ex-President Lula’s testimony that was held the night before. During his testimony Lula said spoke to substitute Lava Jato judge, Gabriela Hardt, about the case of a vacation property in Atibaia. “Doctor, I only want to ask, for my own clarification: am I the owner of this property or not? Because I am willing to answer all and any questions. Am I the owner of this property,” he said. Contrary to information that conservatives and the media spread during years, the trial over the property in Atibaia does not question whether Lula is the owner or not, but only whether he was involved in renovations made on the property’s kitchen.
- This morning, on Thursday, November 15, the Lula Livre Vigil also hosted a show by musician and artist João Bello, who sang his song, “A militância” which he wrote for the greatest political leader in the history of Brazil. “The people arrived, the people arrived, power Lula, because the fight is only starting,” he sang.
