- Ex-President Lula received a visit from writer and liberation theologian Leonardo Boff on this Monday, November 12th, the 220th day of his political imprisonment in the Federal Police headquarters in Curitiba. “We hugged like old friends. - The PT demanded a correction in an article in the Estado de São Paulo newspaper about Lula’s candidacy. In a note, the party questioned the source that was not cited – because it does not exist – alleging that “election laws” supposedly require the return of funding. It also does not cite any source to back up that statement. Due to this, the PT demanded an immediate correction of the mistake, to preserve the truth and impede the dissemination of fake news against former President Lula and the Workers Party, without prejudicing the application of all legal measures. - On the eve of another political judgment which is not sustainable on the basis of any proof, the focus of resistance now is to continue mobilizations in solidarity with ex-President Lula, who has been held as a political prisoner since April 7th. This message was given by PT National President, Senator Gleisi Hoffman, at the Lula Livre Vigil in Curitiba today, November 12th. “This process, in which Lula will testify on Wednesday, November 14th, is another lie,” she said. “It is another poorly told story because the ranch (in Atibaia, which is the basis of the accusation) does not belong to Lula. They made up another story saying that reforms were made on this property from Petrobras petroleum company money.
