  1. Senator Gleisi Hoffmann (Paraná), National President of PT, introduced a legislative decree (PDS 129/18) to block illegitimate President Michel Temer from legalizing political persecution in Brazil. In practice, she wants to block Decree 9,257/18, which created an intelligence task for to investigate organized crime, in Brazil. “Under the pretext of investigating organized crime, Temer’s task force is laying the groundwork for president-elect Jair Bolsonaro to implement more truculent and repressive proposals,” she said. 1. Judge Sergio Moro has just proved the level of judicial farce that he set up against the PT and Lula by accepting his prize as Minister of Justice for the Bolsonaro government, but each detail of his story further reinforces his bias, through its contradictions. According to the Agência Lupa fact checking agency, Moro said he would never enter in politics in at least 7 interviews. But his convictions were only a facade to remove Lula from the elections, promote Bolsonaro and gain, in exchange for that, a cabinet position. 1. In an article published on its website, the Lula Institute expressed worries about the news that the Justice Ministry will become a “super-ministry”, overseeing public security (the federal police), the Transparency Ministry and the Comptroller General’s Ministry. “By concentrating the Comptroller’s Ministry, the agency which guarantees internal checks and balances over the federal government, along with management transparency, the ability to fight corruption is further weakened. After all, how can it investigate its own ministry?” Read more here: http://www.institutolula.org/tirar-a-autonomia-da-cgu-e-enfraquecer-o-combate-a-corrupcao

  1. Activists and militants continue to hang tough in the resistance struggle in Curitiba for freedom for ex-President Lula, who has been held as political prisoner since April 7th. On this Friday, November 2, in addition to the good morning and good afternoon shouts to the former President, there was a religious service and the traditional “lights for Lula” ceremony.
