- The good night shout to ex-President Lula, no this 199th day of resistance, was lead by Victor Polato, a student from the city of Lapa (Paraná). He spoke of the importance of the Lula Livre Vigil, as much for denouncing Lula’s arbitrary imprisonment, as for defending Brazilian democracy against the constant threats that it has suffered from in recent times. This afternoon, there was a conversation circle in the Vigil, facilitated by Thaile Lopes, on the theme ‘MST and People’s Agrarian Reform.”
- Outside of the vigil, democracy activists handed out pamphlets in the morning to promote the candidacy of Fernando Haddad to the Presidency of the Republic in front of the Bosch company building in Curitiba’s Industrial City. During the evening, an inter-religious mass was held in defense of democracy which brought several hundred people to the Santos Andrade square in downtown Curitiba.
