- On this Tuesday, October 16, the book “Dossiê Lava Jato – Um ano de Cobertura Critica,” (The Lava Jato Dossier – One year of critical coverage) by Daniel Giovanaz, was released in the Lula Livre Vigil. The book is a collection of texts published in Brasil de Fato, starting in 2017, about bias and arbitrary actions conducted by judge Sergio Moro’s Operation Car Wash task force, which promised to save Brazil from corruption and ended up throwing the country into the greatest political and economic crisis in recent history, being responsible for the destruction of over 300,000 jobs in the construction industry alone.
- The good night shout to former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on this Tuesday, the 193rd day of democratic resistance in Curitiba, was led by the journalist Pedro Carrano, coordinator of the Frente Brasil Popular (Brasil People’s Front). He said that the historic resistance of the activists who are defending freedom for Lula is showing Brazil the capacity of people’s movements organization. He also said that the political moment is grave, with a “dispute between those who are democrats and those who want fascism to destroy the workers.”
