- After visiting ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on the morning of this Monday, September 10, the lawyers Cristiano Zanin and Valeska Teixeira announced that the UN Human Rights Committee released two new communiques that reiterate the the order to the Brazilian State to guarantee Lula’s right to run for the Presidency of the Republic. The documents reinforce the August 17 ruling, and make it clear that Brazil, as a signatory of the International Treaty on Civil and Political Rights that was ratified in 1992, has the obligation to comply with the Committee rulings. - Roberto Baggio, from the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) in Paraná, led The good morning yell to the ex-President this morning. The activist said that Lula represents the interests of the working class and the dream of a better life for millions of Brazilians. Baggio also noted that the resistance at the #LulaLivre Vigil in Curitiba started exactly 157 days ago, in defense of Democracy and the release of Lula, who is a political prisoner and victim of a persecution without material evidence by Judge Sergio Moro and the Car Wash investigation.
- After the “good afternoon” shout to the ex-President, activists paid a special homage to Lula in front of the Federal Police headquarters building in Curitiba. - On this Monday, August 10, coinciding with a demonstration in the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo theater that was held in defense of Education, Science and Technology with intellectuals and students, a film was released about the legacy of the Lula and Dilma governments in these three areas.
