1. In an official statement, the PT repudiated the authoritarian and unconstitutional declarations of the Army Chief of Staff that were disseminated in the press on this Sunday. “The interview with General Villas Boas is the most serious case of insubordination imaginable, for an an Armed Forces Commander to make against the role that is delegated to him by the sovereign will of the people in the Democratic Constitution of 1988,” it says. 2. On Saturday night, September 8th, the expression #EuSouLula (I am Lula) reached the top of the list of most talked about subjects on Twitter in Brazil, and become the third most talked about subject in the World. The theme gained visibility after a decision by the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) that bans footage of activists saying “I am Lula!” in campaign commercials. “I am Lula” is one of the most well known protest expressions in defense of freedom for the ex-President. 3. On this Sunday, September 9th, Maria José Malheiros from the General Confederation of Labor, in France, visited the Lula Livre Vigil and participated in the “good morning” shout to ex-president Lula. Afterwords she participated in a conversation circle about French workers’ solidarity with the Brazilian people and with Lula. Mario Sergio, director of the APP Teachers Union, also participated in the event. See photos here:
