- Today in Montevideo, Uruguay, the Mercosur Progressive Caucus will promote various activities in defense of ex-President Lula. In addition to having a “Good morning Lula” yell, they will promote a #LulaLivre protest in which they will write letters in support of the ex-President. This afternoon Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Adolfo Perez Esquivel will visit the Mercosur Parliament to denounce the political imprisonment of the Brazilian ex-President.
- Today, Iris Boff is visiting the #LulaLivre Vigil in Curitiba to participate in the event, “Celebration for Democracy: Ciranda for Lula’s Freedom.” During the afternoon the Lula Livre Chorus will present a show called “Songs for Lula”, with João Bello and other guests. At the end of the day, the traditional “Lights for Lula” ceremony will take place during which the activists from the Vigil will light candles and cellphone lanterns in defense of the ex-President. Congressman Nilto Tetto (PT-São Paulo) will participate in the event.
- The #LulaLivre Vigil has started a page on Facebook. There, internauts can see the events schedule, news, bulletins and messages from the Vigil. - The singer Beth Carvalho has released her version of the song, “Lula Livre”, written by Claudinho Guimarães. Since the song was released yesterday afternoon, it has been incorporated into the activities in the Vigil.
