1. The Democratic Vigil #LulaLivre camp in Curitiba completed one week of fighting for the freedom of the political prisoner, best president and best popular leader in the history of Brazil. Thousands of people have passed through the camp and every day the movement in defense of freedom for Lula, for democracy and the rule of law grows.

2. On Monday, April 16, the leaders of the PT in Congress and the Senate, Paulo Pimenta and Lindbergh Farias, will spend the day at the camp. Senator Lindbergh Farias will participate in the “good morning” yell for Lula.

3. Gleisi Hoffmann, the national President of PT, analyzed the latest poll results from DataFolha, which has increased the despair of the Brazilian right even further. “According to Datafolha the scenarios for the second round remain comparable to the previous projections: Lula continues with nearly 60% support. He continues unbeatable, even after his political imprisonment. The media is trying to remove Lula from the news and the polls, but the people have not forgotten who their greatest leader is,” she said on Twitter.

4. On this Sunday, April 15, in Curitiba, the singer and composer Flávio Renegado led the good night call to Lula and, during his performance, made an homage to City Councilwoman Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson, as well as the bricklayer Amarildo, who disappeared in June 2013, after last being seen in police custody.

5. According to Brasil de Fato newspaper, the historians Bernardo Joffily, Beatriz Mamigonian and Mariana Joffily traveled 300 kilometers from Florianopolis to join the #LulaLivre camp this Sunday. The three, who came to give solidarity to president Lula, are part of the Historians for Democracy collective and are participating in the launching of the book “Parana Insurgente”, organized by Joseli Mendoça and Jhonatan Souza, about people’s struggles in the 18th Century. 6. Eleonora Menicucci former Minister of the Woman’s Policy Secretariat from the Dilma Rousseff administration, was at the camp again today in Curitiba. “If Lula was there for us, we have to be here for him,” she said.

7. At the #LulaLivre camp in Fortaleza, Monday, April 16, has a full schedule and will include a public class with Professor Newton Albuquerque, from the Ceara Federal University Law School (UFC), about the criminalization of social movements. The MST and the MTST will participate in the class to talk about their daily struggle against this process. Throughout the day, various cultural groups will perform at the camp, which is set up on Praça da Justiça Federal in downtown Fortaleza.
