- The European Lula Livre Caravan will visit France, Switzerland and Belgium from June 25-28. The initiative, which takes its example from the other Lula Livre committees that are operating in cities around the world, has the goal of increasing the resistance against the arbitrary imprisonment of former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who has been held as a political prisoner for over 14 months. “The Caravan will also expose the political situation in Brazil and the fragility of Brazilian institutions,” said the journalist Maria Luísa Souto Maior, who is one of the organizers of the event. - Former Minister of Foreign Relations Celso Amorim said that the articles published by the Intercept Brasil, which reveal the criminal conduct in conversations between the ex-judge and current Justice Minister Sérgio Moro and Public Prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol, reinforce the importance of the international solidarity movement for the ex-President, because they acted illegally to forge evidence in order to convict Lula for partisan, political motives. “The release of Lula is a question of justice. - On this Monday, June 17th, the “Good morning President Lula” shout was joined in by the director of the Socialist Party of Zambia, Happy Zulu, and representatives of the Norwegian Committee of Solidarity with Latin America. They gave solidarity to Lula and reaffirmed the struggle for his freedom. “Lula, unfortunately, cannot be here with us, but he knows that we are fighting for him.
