1. Across Brazil, the Lula Livre collectives took to the streets to dialogue with the people about former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s arbitrary imprisonment. Banners, pamphlets, assemblies and conversations have been some of the activities that spread through towns and cities in states across the country. At the Lula Livre Vigil, which has been resisting and supporting the ex-President for 414 days, a table is set up with information about Lula. The activities will continue on this Sunday, May 26th. 2. The political character of Lula’s imprisonment, which has lasted over one year, was denounced by former Education Minister Fernando Haddad during a big demonstration in Concórdia, Pará, which was the final activity of the Northern Lula Livre Caravan. “The Judiciary cannot be used to conduct politics. If there was no way to beat Lula at the ballot box, they should have given him the presidency because this is what the people wanted. They politicized the judiciary to remove him from the race,” he said. Read more here: https://pt.org.br/fernando-haddad-o-brasil-de-amanha-vai-ser-melhor-que-o-de-hoje/
3 – The Lula Livre Vigil was visited by the National Education Program for Agrarian Reform Law (Pronera) from Paraná Federal University.
