- In a manifesto, 464 Brazilian legal scholars demanded freedom for ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and criticized the lack of proof in the process which led to his conviction. The document is addressed to the ministers who make up the 5th Group of the Superior Justice Court (STJ): Félix Fischer, Jorge Mussi, Reynaldo Soares da Fonseca and Ribeiro Dantas. - On this Thursday, March 28th, Lula will be visited by João Paulo Rodrigues, a national director of the MST (Landless Rural Workers Movement), and Moisés Selerges, treasurer of the ABC Metalworkers Union. After the visit the two will speak with the activists in the Vigil and conduct a press conference which will be broadcast on the social media of the PT, Lula and partner websites. - The Lula Livre Vigil held a conversation circle on Wednesday, March 27th, about the positive impacts of the Lula government on the lives of the people in the Northeast, which is one of the regions that reached its apex of economic and social development after the PT took power. The dialogue was facilitated by a delegation of activists from the CUT labor confederation from Ceará. “We are here to join forces and to say that we are the resistance and we will only leave when the President is imprisoned in the arms of the people,” said Emanuel Lima, Communications Secretary from CUT/Ceará. - The second video bulletin for the Lula Livre Campaign is on the air. The highlights of this edition are the struggle against pension reform across the country, the support that Lula received from several legal scholars who visited the Vigil in Curitiba and the Lula Livre Auction, which will auction off 50 photos of the trajectory of the former President. Another theme covered is the permanent activity done by the Lula Livre People’s Committee from São Paulo’s West Side, which holds a “Good Night President Lula” demonstration every Wednesday on Largo da Batata square in São Paulo.
