1. Workers Party National President Gleisi Hoffmann visited the Lula Livre Vigil on this Saturday, March 2, after the funeral of Arthur Araújo Lula da Silva, grandson of the former President. She thanked all of the PT and social movement activists for their solidarity. “I think that it was the saddest that I have ever seen him, and we are all sad with him. And, look, Lula has had some very hard times,” she said. Gleisi spoke of recent events that have affected Lula, besides the death of his grandson – the deaths of his wife Dona Marisa, his brother Vavá, his friend Sigmaringa Seixas, and his imprisonment. 2. Lula is much greater than the sewage of internet hatred. Renato Dolci, a political scientist, monitored the social media and verified that the majority of the Brazilian people showed solidarity for the ex-President’s loss. 3. Across Brazil, political protest is setting the tone for this year’s Carnaval. From the north to the south, street blocos and samba schools are singing about social issues, criticizing the Bolsonaro family and government and yelling for freedom for ex-President Lula. Read more here:
